I but wanted to report the same issue from shifting from 4th to 5th gear that everyone else has. I bought this car used in 2008. It had just turned 10k miles. The guy only drove it on the weekend and information technology was kept in the garage the entire fourth dimension. I didn't practise my due diligence in by searching for these problems. The car today still merely has 67k miles on it. I piece of work from home and have since 2010 so information technology doesn't rack up a lot of miles yet today. Shifting from 4th to fifth was always a problem and remains. If there's some sort of remember I am non enlightened of please share that with me. If I can become this issue fixed at no price that would be keen.

I have a Nissan 350z, and it is my showtime car. then needless to say, it is amazing, only it grinds when i shift into 5th gear. i accept read alot of forums and complaints nearly this problem, and i have done some testing with my car. many people dont realize this, only the clutch is but a complex timer, and you tin can practise the timing of the clutch without using it (then you can shift without using the clutch). i accept mastered this in my car, and if i do this, my car will non grind, but it will still grind when i double clutch, or clutch regularly. is there a mode to replace only the computer that synchronizes the clutch? if so, please help!

OK, at first i just thought i was driving my car wrong. since this was my first 6 speed and the gears are really close, simply no , the gears but kept grinding and grinding and grinding. i took my motorcar to Al Piemonte Nissan, Northlake,il
This is the WORST Nissan dealership i've ever been to, the service guys are then rude and self. they don't seem to fifty-fifty intendance about your car. IM VERY UPSET WITH THIS NISSAN DEALERSHIP. my third gear syncro was messed upwards and they were able to fix information technology but they talked me into ownership a new clutch. and so i paid 450 for the clutch.a brusk time latter i took apart my transmission to put in a high operation clutch in. i know my auto and this clutch was never changed. i paid 450 dollars for nothing.
some other time i went in for a check engine light and an oil alter they fix the bank check engine calorie-free merely never did the oil change, Awful, AWFUL AWFUL
if yous get anything changed or any work done to your car ask for proof, ask for any parts they changed ahead of fourth dimension , i would fifty-fifty get as far as marking the bolts with something to brand sure they fix your car correctly. im so surprised the aforementioned guys still work there, i experience like putting there names in this review so you know not to get your machine done by them, simply dont trust the managing director and i would try to avoid this nissan dealership completely

Called Nissan dealership wanted a sport car.
Bought a 2003 - 305 Z tour car. The car just had 2500 miles it was used as a show car for dealerships.
The second 24-hour interval I drove the motorcar I noticed that the manual made a grinding noise when shifting from 4th to fifth gear. The grinding noise did not happen every time you shifted the gears so I drove the car a couple more than weeks and the grinding became more frequent. Called the nearest Nissan dealership. They said bring it on over they would expect at that day. The service managing director said they had to replace the manual in another Z considering it was making a grinding noise betwixt shifts. I did not like the sound of this. So I enquire if it was a retrieve or defect in the transmission. He and then unsaid that the machine had been driven to HARD. "These transmission are not made to power shift" I responded that this was a sports car. That information technology was designed to exist driven to the limitation of the vehicle'southward specification. I did not pay all that coin to drive a car that has 160 MPH on speed odometer and the car not perform 160 MPH.
The dealership I took the car to did non expect at the auto for 2 days so they called and said I needed a new transmission, clutch petal, and clutch plate. Covered under warranty. They could non do the work till the adjacent week. I ask about a loaner automobile and they said I could not have 1. I picked up the Z and called the dealership I bought the car from and they said come on over but equally it turned out the dealership I went to close to my abode had opened the case on my car and I could not use the dealership I bought the car from. The work is being done today. I will be driving the motorcar back to the dealership I bought it from and filing a formal complaint with Nissan Corporation.
If there are other people out there with 350 Z transmission grinding please contact me.

I'm actually disappointed overall that Nissan worked with Z that couldn't provide good transmissions!I I was so damn excited when I bought my car from the dealership and drove domicile but... 3 months subsequently my gears synchro'southward couldn't keep up with the potential the car already gives out! I've thought mayhap it was only the fluid going out creating the problem only I've inverse the gear fluid and no fix was there for me . This effect is and so famous with every Z owner of years 2003-2005.
I wish I can trade my automobile but with this outcome it has to exist fixed earlier anything. No recalls for this problem, Nissan should've fixed this ! Really bad car to have ! My first rear cycle drive auto I have to drive similar a deadening a#s can't enjoy shifting over 2500 rpms or else huge grinds between 2-4 so far... I've heard 5th gear will cease upwardly grinding As well. Big round of a applause for Nissan, cheers guys!
